The 39th Hyderabad Book Fair will be held at NTR Stadium from December 18 to 28. The Hyderabad Book Fair Committee is organising it with the state culture department. The logo and venue names were unveiled on Sunday, November 1, at Desoddharaka Bhavan.
Venues named after writers
- Grounds: Jilani Bano
- Literary stage: Mukthavaram Parthasarathi
- Book-release stage: Dr YB Satyanarayana
- Writers' stalls: Sadananda Sharada and Etukuri Prasad
- Media stalls: Telidevara Bhanumurthy
"The number of stalls has been capped at around 320 in total," committee president Rampalli Ramesh said. Stall applications are open through a Google Form until November 14. There will be children's programmes with the National Book Trust.
Adviser Rama Melkote urged parents to get children reading early. The committee has asked the Telangana Sahitya Akademi to partner on cultural programmes and is awaiting a reply. K Ramachandra Murthy is an adviser and P Narayana Reddy is general secretary.
