Free bus scheme cut Hyderabad women's cost per trip from ₹30.4 to ₹9.7, a 68% drop: SPA study
A joint study by the Schools of Planning and Architecture in Vijayawada and New Delhi found Telangana's Mahalakshmi free bus scheme cut women's average cost per trip in the GHMC area from ₹30.4 to ₹9.7, about 68%. The share of women who mainly use TGSRTC buses rose from 43.8% to 71.2%.
