The Alai Balai festival is scheduled for October 22, 2026, at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally, Hyderabad. Former Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, along with the Alai Balai Foundation, organizes the event.
Traditionally held the day after Dussehra, the festival aims to bring together people from various political parties, religions, and states. It serves to celebrate Telangana's culture.
Bandaru Vijayalakshmi, Chairman of the Alai Balai Foundation, described the festival as a tribute to the culture of Telangana and India. She announced that 'Nasha Mukt Bharat' would be the main theme this year.
Vijayalakshmi noted that the program typically draws a gathering of 30,000 to 40,000 people, including many young individuals. Cultural elements like Dappu and Oggu Dolu, which reflect the vibe of Telangana, will be part of the celebration.
