Former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya announced that the Alai Balai celebrations, scheduled for October 22 at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally, Hyderabad, will feature the theme of Nasha Mukt Bharat.
Dattatreya stated that the chosen theme aims to reinforce government efforts to prevent young people from falling into drug abuse and to support those seeking recovery.
The former Governor expressed concern over the increasing number of young individuals becoming victims of substance abuse, noting that several families are enduring trauma as a result.
He emphasized the critical need for sustained awareness campaigns. Dattatreya called upon civil society to collaborate with the government in protecting youth and assisting victims in their reintegration into society.
