The Andhra Pradesh government has advanced its plans to develop Amaravati into an international city. Plans are ready for an international airport in Amaravati, to be built between Tadikonda and Ravela. Approval for this project is anticipated within the next three months. The airport is part of a larger aerocity development, with an estimated cost of 5,000 crore rupees.
The project will be executed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The land pooling plan for the airport site is already prepared. This initiative aims to improve connectivity for the capital region. The state government is moving forward with this project as part of its broader development goals for Amaravati.
