The Andhra Pradesh government has advanced its plans to develop Amaravati into an international-standard city. Plans are now ready for an international airport to be built between Tadikonda and Ravela. This project is expected to receive approval within the next three months. The airport will be developed as an aerocity with an estimated investment of Rs 5,000 crore, utilizing a land pooling plan.
This infrastructure project is planned under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The international airport is part of the government's vision for Amaravati's development. The construction will include not only the airport facilities but also the surrounding aerocity infrastructure. Work on the project is anticipated to begin soon after approvals are secured.
