The India Meteorological Department has issued a forecast for rain across several districts of Andhra Pradesh on October 17. Some areas are also likely to experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning.

These weather patterns are influenced by a trough that extends from the southern coastal region towards the northwest Bay of Bengal, impacting the state's atmospheric conditions.

Districts in North Andhra and Rayalaseema are among those anticipated to receive rainfall. Kakinada, Guntur, Bapatla, and Palnadu are also expected to see showers.

While many districts may experience light to moderate rainfall, isolated pockets could witness more intense thunderstorms with lightning activity.

Specifically, Markapuram, Prakasam, and Nellore districts have been identified as areas where lightning-related rain is a possibility.

Residents in these regions are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions in light of the predicted weather changes.
