The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) has issued a warning for heavy rainfall across the state for the next three days. Thunderstorms accompanied by moderate rains are expected in several districts from October 14 to 16.
These weather conditions are attributed to an upper air cyclonic circulation and a trough formed in the Bay of Bengal, as stated by SDMA Managing Director Prakhar Jain. The system is expected to affect various regions across the state.
Officials have advised residents in multiple districts to be vigilant as moderate rains with lightning are anticipated. People are urged to stay in safe locations during this period.
Residents in low-lying areas should exercise caution due to the expected rainfall. Farmers are also advised to take necessary precautions as agricultural activities may be impacted.
Andhra Pradesh residents should remain alert over the next three days. It is particularly important to avoid open areas due to the risk of lightning strikes.
