Andhra Pradesh has emerged as a national leader in attracting investments in the renewable energy sector, as reported by Andhrajyothy. Since June 2024, the state has attracted projects worth Rs. 4 lakh crore, achieving national recognition.

Following the vision of Union Minister Babu, Prahlad Joshi sanctioned 97 integrated projects worth Rs. 4 lakh crore for the state. These projects are set to strengthen the environmentally friendly green energy sector in the state.

Andhra Pradesh received the 'Leadership State in Renewable Energy' award at the 8th International Trade Exhibition 'Windergy India-2026', held on Thursday at the Chennai Trade Centre. This award reflects the state's commitment and achievements in the renewable energy sector.

According to Andhrajyothy, in addition to the approval of 97 large renewable projects valued at Rs. 4 lakh crore, the state has also achieved an additional capacity of 4.71 lakh megawatts. This contributes to the state's energy security and environmental protection.

These investments will bring significant benefits to both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Renewable energy projects not only create employment opportunities but also pave the way for sustainable development by promoting environmentally friendly energy sources.
