The State Disaster Management Agency announced on Wednesday that Andhra Pradesh is likely to experience rains in several areas until October 19 due to the arrival of the northeast monsoon. This weather pattern is expected to affect residents across the state.

The Disaster Management Agency stated that a trough extends from the upper air cyclonic circulation over the Mannar Gulf and Southwest Bay of Bengal. These atmospheric conditions are predicted to bring rainfall.

On Thursday, light to moderate rains accompanied by lightning are expected in isolated places across Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitharama Raju, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema, East Godavari, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Prakasam, Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai, and Kadapa districts.

Farmers and the general public are advised to remain vigilant due to these rains. Officials have particularly urged those involved in agricultural activities to take appropriate precautions.

With several districts in the state expected to receive rainfall, it is advisable for residents to monitor weather changes and plan their travel accordingly. This could impact the state's economy, especially the agricultural sector.
