A 28-year-old software employee from Andhra Pradesh allegedly died by suicide at a hostel in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The incident reportedly occurred on Monday night, as reported by Telangana Today.
The victim has been identified as Bandela Maneesha, a native of Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh. According to Telangana Today, Maneesha was residing at Arya Elite Hostel and working for an IT company in Nanakramguda.
On Tuesday, hostel staff discovered her hanging from the ceiling fan in her room and promptly informed the police. Authorities arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation.
Police reportedly recovered a suicide note from the room. The note cited depression and loneliness as the reasons for Maneesha's extreme step, as per Telangana Today.
The investigation into the case is currently underway. This incident highlights concerns regarding the mental well-being of young professionals working in Hyderabad's IT corridor.
