Aramex, a global provider of logistics and transportation services, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GMR Airports Limited (GAL). This agreement seeks to explore opportunities for strengthening its logistics infrastructure at GMR-operated airports throughout India.
The MoU was formally signed at GMR Hyderabad Air Cargo (GHAC) in Hyderabad. This collaboration aims to streamline the movement of international shipments and provide support to businesses, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), engaged in import and export activities.
Under the terms of the understanding, both companies will investigate ways to upgrade Aramex’s facilities at express cargo terminals located across GMR-managed airports. Proposed enhancements include dedicated truck docks, advanced screening systems, and designated operational areas.
The planned infrastructure is designed to facilitate customs clearance for a variety of international shipment products. These improvements are also expected to boost the overall efficiency of cargo handling operations at these airport locations.
