An Air India Express flight, IX2065, traveling from Visakhapatnam to Bengaluru, experienced a bird strike on Monday. Despite the incident, the aircraft landed safely at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.
All 148 passengers on board were unharmed, and no injuries were reported among the crew. The flight successfully completed its journey to its destination.
Following the safe landing, the aircraft was moved to a parking stand. Ground engineers and technical teams immediately began inspecting the aircraft.
These inspections are being conducted to assess any potential damage to the aircraft's structure or engines, adhering to standard safety procedures.
The incident occurs as Indian airlines continue to suspend selected services to Saudi Arabia due to regional security concerns.
Earlier in October, an Air India flight from Frankfurt to Delhi made an emergency landing in Jaipur after transmitting Squawk 7500, the international code used to indicate a hijacking.
