A major accident was averted in Medchal district, on the outskirts of Hyderabad. A Renault car, traveling at speed on the Annujiguda flyover, suddenly caught fire and was completely gutted. However, all four passengers inside the car escaped safely.
The incident occurred while four individuals from Warangal were traveling in a Renault petrol car. They were en route from Warangal towards Hyderabad.
As they reached the Annujiguda flyover, which falls under the Pocharam IT corridor, flames suddenly erupted from the car's engine compartment. The passengers immediately noticed the fire.
The alert passengers promptly exited the vehicle, ensuring all four were safe. The incident took place on Thursday at 9:29 AM.
Police have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident. The incident caused a temporary disruption to traffic on the flyover.
