Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, accompanied by his wife Nara Bhuvaneswari, presented silk robes to Goddess Kanaka Durga at the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam on Indrakeeladri, Vijayawada, on Friday. This offering was made on behalf of the State government, coinciding with the auspicious Moola Nakshatram.

Upon their arrival at the temple, the Chief Minister and his wife received a traditional welcome from the temple authorities. They were escorted into the temple with customary honors.

Sthanacharya Siva Prasad Sharma adorned Chief Minister Naidu with the traditional ‘pariveshtam’ before the couple proceeded into the temple. They carried silk robes and a saree intended for the presiding deity.

Inside the sanctum sanctorum, the Chief Minister performed special prayers to Goddess Kanaka Durga. Priests chanted Vedic hymns during the ceremony, in which his wife also participated.

Following the prayers, the priests offered Vedic blessings to the couple at the Ashirvachana Mandapam. The devotional ceremony concluded with these traditional blessings.
