Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy extended his warm Vijayadashami greetings to the people of the state. He highlighted that the festival signifies the triumph of good over evil and the establishment of righteousness.
The Chief Minister noted that the Dussehra festival holds a special place within Telangana's culture and traditions. He added that this occasion instills important values such as courage, truth, unity, and self-confidence among the populace.
Through the Chief Minister's Office, he urged everyone to work towards building a society founded on love, compassion, and humanity, by letting go of negative traits like ego, jealousy, and hatred.
CM Revanth Reddy mentioned that the auspicious day commemorates the power of Goddess Durga, who defeated the demon Mahishasura, and Lord Rama's victory over Ravana. He expressed his wish for this Vijayadashami to bring joy and prosperity to every household.
The Chief Minister also drew attention to a unique Telangana tradition: the worship of the 'Jammi tree' and the exchange of its leaves, considered 'gold', with elders to seek their blessings. This custom, he stated, serves as a reminder to respect nature and honor elders.
