Officials from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) have launched an inquiry into the Directorate of Health (DH) within the Medical and Health Department. This investigation follows several months of allegations regarding corruption within the department.
Six CMO officials conducted the inquiry, sitting with a key officer at the DH. During the process, they requested various files and extensively questioned the officer.
The officials inquired why files were being held up in the department and investigated alleged collection schemes behind clearing vigilance files. They also questioned the delay in clearing files related to the regularization of nursing staff.
CMO officials expressed their displeasure over files being stalled for months in the inward section and the suppression of matters that should have been brought to the government's attention.
