A BTech student, Sona, from Wanaparthy, died in a tragic incident during Dasara celebrations at MVSR College in Hyderabad. Her twin sister, Meena, sustained severe injuries and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
The unfortunate event occurred shortly after the twins spoke to their father, Narayana Dasu, over the phone about their plans to return home for the Dasara holidays. Their father had arranged to pick them up in Wanaparthy.
The incident took place when a lighting frame collapsed during Dandiya celebrations held on the college premises. Narayana Dasu, the father, alleged that the accident was a direct result of the college management's failure to make proper arrangements for the event.
Sona was a first-year BTech student in Computer Science, while Meena is also a first-year BTech student, pursuing Electrical Engineering.
Narayana Dasu stated that he came to Hyderabad to receive Sona’s body, while Meena remains unconscious in the hospital.
The family is demanding accountability from the college management for the alleged negligence that led to this tragedy.
