Dr. Nadikudi Shailesh Kumar (39), who works at Srikrishna Multi Speciality Hospital in Kothagudem, has been arrested by Chunchupalli police. This action was taken following a complaint from a woman alleging harassment under the guise of medical treatment.
Kothagudem DSP Adinarayana, along with CI Srinivas and SI Ravikumar, disclosed the details of the case. The arrest occurred on October 15, 2026, at 07:28 PM IST.
A case was registered at Chunchupalli Police Station under Crime Number 114/2026, invoking relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the SC, ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.
Following the arrest, the doctor was produced before the court. Officials stated that he was remanded to judicial custody as per court orders.
Allegations of this nature against a medical professional have become a topic of discussion locally. Such actions by a doctor, who is expected to serve the public, are a cause for concern among residents.
