P. Kavitha (28), a married woman from Kummar Gally in Gajwel, died by suicide, reportedly due to dowry harassment. This tragic incident occurred in the city.
According to iDreamPost, Kavitha married Srinivas from Yousufguda Srikrishnanagar in 2014. At the time of their marriage, her parents reportedly gave dowry worth approximately 20 lakhs.
However, iDreamPost reported that Srinivas and his parents constantly harassed Kavitha for additional dowry.
Unable to bear the harassment, Kavitha resorted to suicide, as stated by iDreamPost. Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
This incident once again highlights the severity of dowry harassment in the Gajwel region of Telangana. Such occurrences raise concerns about the safety of women in society.
