Malkapuram police in Visakhapatnam have arrested a man for allegedly sharing sensitive information concerning the movements of Indian Navy ships and submarines. The arrest was made as part of an ongoing investigation.
The individual taken into custody has been identified as Killo Naresh Kumar. He was employed as a contractual driver with the Marine Corporation of India.
According to police, Naresh Kumar made contact with an unknown person through an Instagram account named 'ishpreet525'. He then proceeded to transmit naval information using WhatsApp.
Police stated that Naresh Kumar shared these sensitive details in exchange for money. An amount of Rs 8,000 was deposited into his Union Bank account in two separate payments.
Authorities have warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone involved in such activities. Further details are expected as the investigation continues.
