The Krishna Drinking Water Supply Scheme Phase-2 pipeline, a key source of drinking water for Hyderabad, sustained damage near Uppal Bhagayath. The incident occurred close to Nagole Metro Station Pillar Number 813.
Officials reported that a car forcefully collided with the pipeline's air valve system, causing the damage and resulting in a water leak.
The Water Board has initiated emergency measures to repair the damaged air valves and undertake the necessary restoration work.
Due to these repairs, officials from the Water Board have confirmed that drinking water supply will be disrupted in certain areas of Hyderabad during the Dussehra festival.
