Chaitanyapuri police have arrested a 40-year-old electronic engineer for allegedly entering the Sri Santoshi Mata temple in Dilsukhnagar and throwing sticks towards the deity. The incident occurred on October 2.
According to hyderabadmail.com, the incident took place between 9:50 AM and 9:55 AM at the temple, which falls under the Chaitanyapuri police station limits. Devotees and temple staff intervened to stop the accused.
Police identified the accused as Mohammed Abdul Ansari, also known as Abdulla Ansari, aged 40. He is an electronic engineer from Sangareddy and is based in New York, United States.
As reported by hyderabadmail.com, police registered a case as Crime No. 1187/2026 under Sections 298, 299, 300, 329(4), 324, and 333 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
