Mumtaz, a woman from Eluru district, has successfully expanded her homemade vermicelli business to international markets. Her vermicelli products are now being exported to countries such as Dubai and America.
The inspiration for this venture came two years ago from a vermicelli packet she purchased in Vijayawada. This simple purchase sparked an idea that would change her life's trajectory.
With a bank loan of Rs. 2 lakh, Mumtaz established a vermicelli manufacturing unit right in her home. This small-scale operation has since grown into a thriving business.
Her vermicelli experiences high demand, particularly during the Ramadan season. This peak demand highlights the popularity and quality of her products.
Mumtaz's enterprise also serves as a model for empowerment, as she provides employment to more than seven individuals. Her journey, which began with a modest idea, has now crossed national borders to achieve international recognition.
