Traffic police on Sunday cleared small businesses that had illegally encroached upon footpaths behind Gandhi Hospital in Padmarao Nagar, Secunderabad. This action was part of an initiative called Operation Rope.
Many small vendors had set up their livelihoods on the footpaths stretching from Padmarao Nagar to Musheerabad. These establishments were found to be causing inconvenience to both pedestrians and motorists.
The traffic police carried out the eviction drive following directives from senior officials. The operation targeted businesses that were occupying public footpaths without authorization.
The small business owners expressed distress over the removal of their establishments. They voiced concerns about their livelihoods being affected without any alternative arrangements.
