Police in Anakapalli district seized illegally transported ganja in Narsipatnam mandal on October 19. The seizure has drawn attention in the area.
The seized ganja is valued at approximately Rs 1.33 crore, police said. An investigation is underway to determine the destination of the ganja.
Police arrested five individuals in connection with the case. They are currently being interrogated by authorities.
Authorities are implementing strict measures to curb the illicit drug trade in the district. Surveillance on illegal trafficking has been increased.
