The Dasara Sharannavaratrulu celebrations are being held with great splendor at Indrakeeladri in Bezawada. On Monday, the ninth day of the festivities, Goddess Kanaka Durga appeared to her devotees in the form of Mahishasura Mardini Devi. A large number of devotees gathered at the temple to have darshan of the goddess. Bhavani devotees began arriving at Indrakeeladri in huge numbers from Sunday night.
Devotees started queuing at the temple from 4 AM to witness the goddess in her special form. Many devotees eagerly sought darshan of the goddess as Mahishasura Mardini Devi. The temple anticipates continued large crowds until the conclusion of the Dasara celebrations.
