Two young migrant workers from Ganjam district died in separate workplace accidents in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, on Thursday. The incidents occurred at their respective work sites, leading to their untimely deaths.
The deceased were identified as Santosh Pradhan, 25, from Tambapur village in Patrapur, and K Siba, 26, from Chiladi under Kalabada panchayat in Chikiti block. Both individuals were working in Guntur.
Santosh Pradhan was working with a crane at a construction site when he fell, and an iron rod pierced his body. His co-workers rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
In a separate incident, K Siba succumbed to injuries after falling from a lift at his workplace. The fall resulted in severe injuries that proved fatal.
Santosh Pradhan is survived by his wife and a two-year-old child. Their families are now grappling with the tragic loss.
Local police have registered cases regarding both incidents and are conducting further investigations. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
