Members of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) have been caught selling tickets for the India-West Indies T20 match on the black market. Four individuals, including HCA member Satish Chandra Srivastava, have been arrested in connection with the racket.
Satish Chandra Srivastava, associated with the Young Citizens Club, was involved in selling these tickets along with his son, Akarshit Srivastava, according to police. They diverted complimentary tickets originally allocated for budding cricketers to the black market.
Acting on precise information that black tickets were being sold through social media platforms, Goshamahal police conducted raids. They apprehended Avinash Darak and Mohit Somani in Begum Bazaar.
Police seized 11 complimentary tickets from the arrested individuals. These arrests have once again brought to light the issue of black marketing of tickets within the HCA.
Such incidents disappoint sports enthusiasts. Genuine fans are deprived of watching matches due to the illegal sale of tickets.
