Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are likely to experience very heavy rainfall at isolated places on Sunday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds, potentially reaching 40-50 kmph with gusts up to 60 kmph, are also expected in these regions.

Several southern states will receive thunderstorms and gusty winds, the IMD said. Residents in these areas should remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.

Isolated to scattered rainfall is forecast over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Uttarakhand on Sunday. These northern regions may experience cooler temperatures due to the precipitation.

No major weather activity is forecast for Delhi and most other parts of north India, the IMD predicted. Dry conditions will prevail over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan on Sunday.

East Rajasthan, which saw isolated rainfall on Saturday, October 17, will experience dry conditions on Sunday. The rainfall activity in this region will subside.

The IMD's seven-day rainfall forecast indicates a continuation of these weather patterns. Authorities advise residents in affected areas to stay updated on weather alerts and take appropriate safety measures.
