A Hyderabad family is appealing for urgent assistance after their eight-month pregnant daughter, Sumayya Siddiqua, was allegedly assaulted in Sharjah, UAE, on September 7 and 8. Her father, Mohammed Abdul Nayeem Shakeel, is seeking help to ensure the safe return of his daughter and her three children to India.
The family alleges that during the assault, her head was hit against a wall, causing bleeding from her ear and nose, and resulting in her losing consciousness. Given her advanced stage of pregnancy, Shakeel has emphasized the urgency of the matter.
Shakeel, a resident of Tolichowki, Hyderabad, has approached officials seeking immediate intervention to assist his daughter. He has highlighted the severe nature of the alleged assault.
He has specifically requested that the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai contact and assist Sumayya Siddiqua without delay.
This incident raises concerns for the safety of Indian citizens, particularly those from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, living abroad. The immediate well-being of Sumayya Siddiqua, who is heavily pregnant, is a critical concern for her family and the community.
