Hyderabad police have arrested Kondabattula Pawan Kumar in connection with a major honeytrap case. The accused allegedly used fake social media accounts to lure young men, subsequently blackmailing them with their private photos and videos. Police stated that Pawan Kumar extorted Rs 25.16 lakh from 82 victims. Investigations revealed that Pawan Kumar created fake IDs to trap individuals, collecting their personal information for blackmail.
Saidabad police took Pawan Kumar into custody and are conducting further investigations. Authorities are exploring whether other individuals are involved in this honeytrap operation. Police urged victims to come forward and file complaints without hesitation. They also advised the public to remain vigilant against such scams and to exercise caution with suspicious social media accounts.
