Indian Railways is implementing a new policy focused on passenger safety. These changes are set to be available to travelers before the Diwali festival.

Previously, travel insurance was offered exclusively to passengers who booked their tickets online through the IRCTC website or its mobile application.

Under the new decision, this insurance facility will now be extended to passengers who purchase their tickets directly at railway reservation counters.

Millions of people travel by train during festive seasons. This new facility aims to provide them with enhanced security.
