Narsipatnam Rural Police arrested an international cannabis smuggling ring. Police took five members into custody who were transporting cannabis from India to Sri Lanka.
Authorities seized 230 kilograms of cannabis, valued at Rs. 1.33 crore 70 thousand, from the gang. Narsipatnam DSP Srinivasarao announced these details on Monday.
Police also confiscated a car, a bike, and Rs. 1.20 lakh in cash. The gang members used these vehicles for their smuggling operations.
DSP Srinivasarao provided comprehensive details about the arrests during a press conference held at the Narsipatnam DSP office. Police acted with skill to apprehend the gang.
