Female faculty members from Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT) have filed a police complaint against JNTUH Vice-Chancellor T. Kiran Kumar Reddy in Kukatpally. Samayam Telugu reported that the faculty alleged the VC verbally abused them and made gender-discriminatory remarks when they went to invite him as a chief guest for a student conference at their college.

VJIT Principal A. Srujana and CSE Head of Department D. Aruna Kumari visited JNTUH University on the 6th of this month. Samayam Telugu stated that this visit was made with prior permission.

The complaint specifies that they went to hand over an invitation to VC Kiran Kumar Reddy to attend the AWS Student Communication conference, scheduled to be held at their college on the 30th of this month, as the chief guest.

Furthermore, the complaint also states that the VC attempted to attack them with a hammer that was on his table, as reported by Samayam Telugu.
