Haribabu, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and Senior Civil Judge, made a surprise visit to the One Stop Centre (Sakhi) located on the premises of Srikakulam General Hospital in Balaga on Tuesday. The centre provides immediate protection, free legal aid, medical assistance, and counselling to women facing violence and harassment, hmtvlive.com reported.
During his visit, Judge Haribabu thoroughly inspected the free services being provided to women in distress through this centre, as well as the case registration registers. He inquired about the facilities available to the victims and the details of their problems.
According to hmtvlive.com, he directly conversed with a victim residing at the centre to understand the facilities she was receiving and the issues she faced. He stated that the centre's services in instilling courage in women are commendable.
