A dispute over seats on an RTC bus in Chinampeta, Kakinada district, escalated into a violent attack. Around 30 youths assaulted women with sticks and rods.
Three women sustained serious injuries in the attack. The condition of two of the injured women is critical.
The youths carried out the brutal assault because they were not given seats. Other passengers on the bus were terrified by the incident.
Police registered a case regarding the incident. A search operation is underway to apprehend the youths involved in the attack.
