The Dasara Navaratri celebrations at the Kanaka Durga temple atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada will conclude with the Teppotsavam on October 20. Officials are making extensive arrangements for the float festival in the Krishna River.

Officials from the endowments, police, and irrigation departments are overseeing the preparations for the event. Goddess Kanaka Durga and Lord Malleswara Swamy will take a ride on the Krishna River on the Hamsa Vahanam.

The Hamsa Vahanam, which will carry the deities, has been decorated for the occasion. Police personnel have been deployed at the ghats to ensure safety.

The Irrigation Department has stationed expert swimmers at the bathing ghats. The Hamsa Vahanam, Durga Ghat, and Punnami Ghats have all been illuminated for the festival.
