The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has filed a case against Arkapally Anjaneyulu, an Inspector of Police at Keesara police station, which falls under the Medchal-Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate. The bureau alleges that he accumulated assets through corrupt practices, exceeding his known income sources.
The ACB’s City Range-1 unit registered the case under specific sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, as amended in 2018. These include Section 13(1)(b) and Section 13(2).
On October 17, officials conducted initial searches at Anjaneyulu's home and office. They also searched four other locations connected to his relatives, associates, and individuals suspected of being benamidars.
During these searches, officials discovered documents related to two plots, each measuring 150 square yards, along with an older house in Lingojiguda, Saroornagar. These properties are valued at ₹30 lakh.
Further findings included an older house of 240 square yards in CR Enclave, Mansoorabad, LB Nagar, valued at ₹40 lakh. An under-construction house in Perur village, measuring 180 square yards and valued at ₹50 lakh, was also identified.
The ACB also located two acres of agricultural land in Haliya, Miryalaguda, which officials estimate to be worth ₹80 lakh.
