Five individuals have been arrested by Keesara police in connection with a land scam in Cheeriyala, Keesara mandal, Hyderabad, involving the illegal sale of valuable lands using fake General Power of Attorney (GPA) documents.
According to HMTV, over 18 acres of valuable land were sold using fraudulent documents in this land scam. The incident came to light on October 7, 2026.
HMTV reported that Keesara police registered a case under various sections of the BNS, with case number .414/2025, in connection with this incident. The accused are alleged to have created and used fake documents to sell the lands.
These arrests play a crucial role in curbing fraudulent activities involving fake land documents. Such scams can cause significant losses to land buyers in Telangana.
