Police have registered a case against Mahalakshmi Rice Mill, located at Mantati Chowrasta in Nagarkurnool. The case has been filed against the mill's management and 13 other individuals.
Civil Supplies Department officials have initiated action against rice mills for diverting custom milling rice (CMR). The Vigilance and Enforcement Directorate is also involved in the investigation of this matter.
Surprise raids were conducted on rice mills on Thursday and Friday, during which these irregularities came to light.
Officials confirmed that 3,774.818 metric tonnes of rice were misappropriated at the Mahalakshmi Rice Mill. A more in-depth investigation into these irregularities is currently underway.
