Andhra Pradesh police have seized a significant quantity of drugs and ganja in three separate operations across the state. A total of three individuals were arrested in these raids, including an MBA student.

In the first operation, police seized 110 grams of MDMA, valued at Rs 11 lakh, at Vijayawada railway station. MBA student Yerramsetti Naga Sowmya was arrested for allegedly transporting the drugs by train from Bengaluru. Police also apprehended Shaik Basheer, who reportedly acted as her handler.

In a separate operation, police intercepted a car at Amakathadu in Kurnool district and seized 20 grams of MDMA, worth Rs 2 lakh. The car's occupant, Nalluri Varun Teja, was arrested in connection with this haul.

In another major operation, AP counter intelligence sleuths and Eagle teams intercepted a vehicle at Turluvada toll plaza in Visakhapatnam district. They seized 385 kg of dry ganja, valued at approximately Rs 1.9 crore.

The ganja consignment was being transported from Odisha's Machkund agency area to Shirdi in Maharashtra. These operations highlight the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to curb drug trafficking, which poses a significant threat to the youth and public safety in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
