Police in Ramannapet, Nalgonda district, arrested Mukkamala Durgayya in connection with a case of deceiving a woman. Authorities confirmed that the accused has been remanded.
Durgayya misled the woman for 12 years. He convinced her he did not have a wife, knowing she had lost her husband and was living with two children.
During this period, the woman became pregnant, and Durgayya forced her to have an abortion. The victim subsequently filed a complaint with the police.
The woman discovered that Durgayya was already married and had two daughters, which led to disputes between them. The deception had continued for over a decade.
Police registered a case and initiated an investigation. Durgayya was arrested and sent for remand for further proceedings.
