Police in Anakapalli district's Narsipatnam Rural area seized approximately 230 kilograms of ganja near Gabbada village. This operation successfully intercepted an interstate ganja smuggling ring.
The contraband was discovered by police while being transported in a car. Investigations revealed that the ganja was intended for sale in Tamil Nadu.
The smuggling group had devised a plan to sell the ganja in Tamil Nadu and subsequently smuggle it to Sri Lanka. Police effectively foiled these illicit transportation attempts.
Across Andhra Pradesh, law enforcement agencies are intensifying their efforts against the sale and movement of ganja and other intoxicating substances. These crackdowns are ongoing.
