An arch at MVSR Engineering College near Hyderabad collapsed on Saturday during Dandiya celebrations. The incident tragically resulted in the death of an 18-year-old student and left 14 others injured.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy responded to the incident, directing officials to take immediate action. He emphasized the need to provide comprehensive medical care to the injured students.
The student who died was identified as Narayanadasu Sona, a first-year BTech student. Her sister, Meena, was also among those who sustained injuries in the collapse.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to transfer the injured students to Yashoda Hospital for advanced treatment. He assured that all necessary support would be extended to them.
Following the incident, police have increased security at the college and restricted access to the accident site to ensure safety and facilitate investigations.
