A proposal to establish a 33/11KV indoor substation under the Naini Narasimha Reddy Steel Bridge near Musheerabad bus depot has become a central topic of discussion. This new substation is expected to play a crucial role in improving power supply in the city.

Officials inspected the space between flyover pillars 63 and 64 in the area. They have formulated plans to set up a model substation there with two 8 MVA power transformers.

Authorities stated that plans are also ready to establish 8-10 model compact indoor substations under technically suitable flyovers within the city's core area.

A five-member committee has reportedly studied this project. Further actions will be taken based on the committee's report.

Electricity sector experts believe that every aspect of this project, from obtaining all safety standard approvals to system maintenance, is highly sensitive and crucial for public safety.

With the establishment of this new substation, the power supply in Hyderabad city will become more stable and efficient. This will help provide uninterrupted electricity to the public.
