Police have busted a large gang involved in seizing valuable properties of Indians settled abroad and locals in and around Hyderabad and Secunderabad using fake documents. A special operations team under the Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate gathered information about this gang and made arrests.
The gang primarily targeted homes, vacant plots, and commercial complexes belonging to Telugu people residing abroad, especially in the United States. According to ABP Desam, eight cases of fraudulent release of mortgaged properties have come to light.
While registered sale deeds and general power of attorney are crucial documents for property ownership, this gang meticulously created fake documents. The gang conspired to seize and sell properties worth crores of rupees.
ABP Desam reported that the gang created fake documents and attempted to seize and sell properties based on them. These fraudulent activities pose a serious threat to NRI properties.
This arrest marks an important step in protecting NRI properties in the Hyderabad and Secunderabad regions. This incident underscores the need for Telugu people living abroad to be vigilant about the security of their properties.
