NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) has invited bids from contractors for a 900 MW solar PV project in Kurnool district. The plant will utilize crystalline bifacial modules for power generation.

The contractor's responsibilities include acquiring the necessary land for the project. This covers both the plant site and an area for a battery owned by NTPC REL.

After the plant's construction and commissioning, the selected contractor will operate and maintain the facility for a period of three years. This ensures the plant's sustained performance.

The scope of work also encompasses the construction of a dedicated 400 kV transmission line. This line will transport the generated power to the pooling substation of the Kurnool Solar Project.

Only crystalline bifacial modules are permitted for use in this project. Both the modules and their cells must originate from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) maintained by the Government of India.
