An accident occurred at MVSR Engineering College in Nadargul, Hyderabad, during a Dandiya event on October 17, 2026, at 10:03 PM. One person died in the incident.
The college had organized special arrangements for the Dandiya celebrations within its premises. Separate areas were designated for male and female students participating in the event.
During the festivities, strong gusty winds suddenly swept through the area. This caused the lighting crane, which was set up for the event, to lose control and collapse.
The falling crane landed in the section allocated for female students. The unfortunate incident resulted in one fatality.
