The State Disaster Management Authority has issued an orange alert for several districts, including Alluri Sitarama Raju, Polavaram, Anakapalli, Kakinada, East Godavari, Prakasam, Markapuram, Nellore, Kadapa, Kurnool, Nandyal, Anantapur, and Tirupati. Thunderstorms and lightning are expected in these areas within the next three hours.
The authority has urged residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions as weather conditions have changed suddenly. This alert comes amidst a sudden shift in the state's weather patterns.
Moderate rainfall is also anticipated in Rampachodavaram, Narsipatnam, Krishnadevi Peta, Routulapudi, Madugula, Orvakal, Veludhurthi, Dhone, Gooty, Badvel, Satyavedu, Srikalahasti, Podili, Sullurpeta, Naidupeta, and Gottiprolu.
Officials have advised people in the affected districts to stay in safe locations and avoid standing under electrical poles or trees. They also recommended contacting emergency response teams if needed.
